Sunday Worship Service starts at 10:30am. It is a traditional worship service that includes liturgy, beautiful music, prayer, and Holy Communion.
Our Sunday Service is recorded and can be viewed at VIDEO LINK.
What Happens When I Get There?
When you come into the Church building on a Sunday morning, someone will greet you just outside and/or just inside outer door.
There will be an usher/greeter in the lobby/narthex if you have any questions, it is usually staffed before and after each Sunday service.
A printed order of service and a weekly announcement sheet is available at the door to the worship space.
If you need a large print copy of the order of service or a hearing device, please ask an usher.
Sermon bags are available for children to use during the worship service. They are located in a basket at the rear of the sanctuary.
There is a nursery available for children ages 3 and under.
What Happens During the Service?
Each service will normally include singing, Bible reading(s), some prayers, a children’s sermon and a sermon or message, and Holy Communion.
We believe that our Lord's Table is open to everyone. Everyone is invited to participate in Holy Communion. There is white grape juice available for those that don't want wine and for children.
During the service, the congregation will extend “God’s Peace” to one another and everyone will shake hands. Pastor will invite you to greet the people sitting around you, but no one will single you out as a visitor.
We don’t expect visitors to support the congregation financially, so feel free to pass the offering plate on when it comes down your row. Many members of the congregation contribute directly through their bank accounts so you won’t be the only one passing it on.
Music
Music is important at First Lutheran. There is a variety of musical groups for all ages of musicians including choirs, handbells, and instrumental groups.
