What is WELCA?
It's an easy way to say Woman of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Our Purpose As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world. Our Mission To mobilize women to act bodly on their faith in Jesus Christ. |
How Can I Get Involved?
First Evangelical Lutheran Church has two women's circles. The Agape Circle This circle meets monthly on the 2nd Monday night at 7:00pm in the Family Life Center. The Mary Circle This circle meets monthly on the first Tuesday at 10:30am from September to June. Following each meeting, the group usually eats lunch at a local restaurant. Our Ministries
