What is the donated food for Pastor's Pantry used for?
Donated food is distributed to local people in need.  It is not just for older adults.

Where do I take my donations?
Bins for donations to the Pastor's Pantry are located right outside the chapel, to the right of the sanctuary doors in the Narthex.

Monthly Donation Items:
September - Cans of mixed vegetables
October - Oatmeal (single serving packets)
November - Canned soups and stews
December - Macaroni & Cheese

This is a Thrivent sponsored project.
In addition to the monthy items requested, other items we can always use:
  • Grits (single serving packets)
  • Canned tuna and chicken
  • Oatmeal (single serving packets)
  • Breakfast cereals
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Canned soups and stews
  • Spaghetti/Pasta sauce
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Rice
  • Plastic Bags (for bagging the groceries for our clients)
  • Empty Egg Cartons (we have a local source for fresh eggs, but need a way to get them out to our clients)

We also appreciate these items:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables with good shelf life that do not require refrigeration (e.g. potatoes, onions, apples, oranges)
