The Good Shepherd Clothes Closet opened in January of 2010 as an outreach ministry of First Lutheran Church.   We are located at 2 East Third Ave, Lexington beside the Habitat ReStore.  

Where do I bring my donated clothing?
Donated items can be brought to the Closet when it is open on the third Saturday (9am-Noon) of each month or during work evenings (first & third Thursdays monthly at 6:30-8:00pm).

Do items need to be sorted?
It would be helpful for our volunteers if items were sorted by male, female, or children and by winter/summer.  This will save us time, but is NOT required.

Books Needed
We are now accepting donations of good quality new or used books to give away to our clothing closet customers.

We have a need for large-sized clothing for both men and women.  Also, children's clothing and shoes.


During the Closet hours on June 21, we distributed 1,153 items to 141 people!  God's Work. Our Hands.
