Disaster Response Team
Our Disaster Response Team has traveled from North Carolina to Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, West Virginia, and Iowa.  Equipped with a trailer and willing hearts, our goal is to help restore hope when hope seems so far away.


As you clean out the basement or the garage, remember the recycling program!  Here is a list of what we can accept:

• Aluminum windows - We'll come and get your old frames.
• Major appliances - Worn out appliances are always welcome. Ex. washers, dryers, stoves, etc.  (If the old ones are still serviceable, we may be able to place the appliance in a Habitat Home or another needful place.)
• Old metal lawn chairs (steel or aluminum)
• Plumbing pipes and fittings (brass & steel)
• Electric motors
• Pots & Pans (aluminum/steel/stainless steel)
• Wiring scraps - Insulated is ok, they don't have to be stripped of insulation.
• Lawn mowers - complete or just frames
• Outdoor clothes poles
• Rusty barrels
• Metal cabinets
• Tables & chairs
• Electronic devices - computers, radios, boom-boxes, printers (No televisions please.  We have not found a recycler that accepts TVs yet.)
• Metal cans - vegetable/fruit/juice/soup cans (Please remove the labels and rinse before donating.  The centers will not accept cans with labels on them.)
• Aluminum cans

Where do I take my recycled items?
The recycling container is located at the back of the picnic shelter.


My items are too big and I can't transport them to the church.
No problem!  If you have something heavy that you would like to donate but can't deliver it to the church, we'll pick it up for you!  Call 336.787.4295 or e-mail us.
